A little bit of admin
Just done some tidying up – you should now find that the podcast now displays links to Amazon and Spotify as well as Apple Podcasts if you prefer those means of absorbing your audio entertainment.
It’s also up on Pocket Casts and Pandora (US only), but the WP theme won’t show those on each episode.
Apologies for downtime
Having got back from the BattleTech English Nationals with two hot podcast recordings burning a hole in my pocket (semi-literally, they were on the iPhone!), I arrived home to this…
In case you’re curious, that’s our house top left (click on image for news report)!
We’re fine, although some of our downstairs flooring isn’t, and there’s still a massive hole in the road outside our front window. Unfortunately, I shut down the house webserver (on which this site lives) for safety overnight on Sunday, and the boot SSD decided not to come back on Monday morning. We are now back up on a new, faster server (actually a VPS in the cloud) and I’m just troubleshooting the last of the issues with the recovery.
Hoping to get the first of the podcasts up tonight (Weds 28th).
Randall Bills’ Reunification Tour Dates
I have added the UK/Irish dates for this to the Events calendar. Sadly we don’t have exact times for some of the events yet, but you can probably safely assume they are evening events. If your club or store is involved with any of these events, please drop me a line at info@talesfromtheperiphery.org.uk if you have any more details.
The Valhalla Club

Thanks to the excellent folks at the Valhalla Club, we now have a “booth” in their podcast area: it’s https://discord.gg/thevalhallaclub.

Welcome to Tales From The Periphery, an audio podcast, news blog, events diary and resource covering the UK BattleTech scene.
Here you will be able to find a list of places where you can play both Classic BattleTech and Alpha Strike, as well as links to events, the BattleTech UK discord etc.
As we’re still in the startup process, there are a couple of issues I still need to resolve, so please mind your heads on the scaffolding in the meantime.
The site is managed by Mike Whitaker (FleetfootMike on the discord).
